Respuesta :

The authors decided to show, through historical evidence, how the emergence of new forms of sweeteners, gave up on the sugar cane industry, decreasing and being one of the main responsible for the end of the slave culture during the 19th century. This historical evidence shows how this era had a great advance in technology responsible for the creation of effective sweeteners, such as sugar beet, for example, which culminated in a less glamuralization of sugar cane plantations that required slave labor, generating thus an evolution in the sugar industry and slave farms.

The evidence to support the statement that the world was changed by sugar is explained below:

  • In the olden days, there were slaves who worked on sugarcane plantations. They're were treated unfairly by their owners and their human rights were being violated.

  • The introduction of new forms of sweeteners was important in ending the slave trade. It was realized that it wasn't really important for slaves to work on the plantations when there were newer ways to get sugar.

This helped in ending slave trade, and it changed the world.
