Why would allowing more citizens to vote change American politics?

Answer: Because back when the U.S was getting on its feet the only people who could vote where white men with owned property. So that really narrows it down to a set few of people. Today as long as you are a U.S citizen and haven't had that right taken away by the law you can vote. So a lot more people now have a say in politics and other important things.
