The Articles of Confederation gave majority of powers to te state government. While little to none to the Central governments.
5. D. Shays Rebellion.
Shays Rebellion was a rebellion made up of farmers from Massachusetts lead by Daniel Shays. Their was no main currency, so the people that fought in the American Revolution couldn’t get paid. So they freed debtors from jail and protested in front of a courthouse with weapons.
They were eventually stopped when the governor of Massachusetts finally organized an army against them. However this showed the founders that there had to be a change to the Articles of Confederation.
