The resulting DNA wouldn't  have been radioactive

Explanation:

Hershey and Chase confirmed that DNA is the genetic material instead of proteins. In their experiments, they observed that the DNA is the hereditary material because radioactive phosphorus-32 remained in the progeny of phage used to infect bacteria. Consequently, if Hershey and Chase would have used RNA viruses, bacteriophage infection wouldn't have the same results
