According to the speaker, people are passionate about religion. He says that religion brings people closer given that people of same faith have a bond they share.

Also he goes on to say that people that are from different religions may cause rebellions through stubbornness.

So a reformation of the church was proposed to eliminate heresies, religious conflict and factions.
