Answer:

Wonder by R.J Palacio has many themes, including the themes of friendship and acceptance. Auggie is originally seen as an outcast, a strange thing, but Jack and some of the other children learn to accept him and even befriend him.

Explanation:

Ive done this lesson.

1. August has changed a lot. He was shy and self-conscious. August always had his head down when he walked in and out of school, and he had only two friends. Now, August is confident, and the popular kids are standing up for him. He has a lot of friends and is not so shy anymore. He was not friend to talk, or look at people without them looking back. “Woo-hoo Summer! As loudly as I could, though I don't think she heard me.” (page 302)

2. The theme is never judge a book by its cover. This is the theme because everyone was judging August before they got to know him.

3. “Your one brave little dude you know that? Said Amos, putting his arms around my shoulders.” (page 270)

4. This quotation shows how the protagonist has learned that Amos is there for him and won't bully him anymore. He knows this because Amos stood up for him, when before he got to know him, he bullied him.
