Observing deals with the scientific method in that we Observe a specified target (like a monkey) doing any parameters( like climbing a tree) in relation to a variable (like hunger).
You can synthetically observe what a monkey does when you take all the food away. Or you can naturally observe what a monkey does IF HE NATURALLY (without toilet intervention) gets hungry.
