Vitamin D is an important nutrient found in some foods. This nutrient is very important to the body because it absorbs calcium from supplements/food that helps make your bones stronger. People who don't have that much Vitamin D have very weak bones and skin. If someone has to little Vitamin D, it could result in osteoporosis (adults) and rickets (children). Vitamin D also helps the immune system fight off viruses and bacteria.

You can find Vitamin D in:

  • Breakfast Cereals
  • Mushrooms
  • Beef
  • Cheese
  • Fatty Fish
  • Milk

~Good luck

Absorbing calcium: Vitamin D, along with calcium, helps build bones and keep bones strong and healthy. Weak bones can lead to osteoporosis, the loss of bone density, which can lead to fractures. Vitamin D, once either taken orally or from sunshine exposure is then converted to an active form of the vitamin.
