Answer: [tex]x=59/9[/tex]

Simplify both sides of the equation

[tex](3)(1)+(3)(-3x)=2((-4)(7))(Distribute)\\3+-9x=-56[/tex]

Subtract 3 from both sides

[tex]-9x+3-3=-56-3\\-9x=-59[/tex]

Divide both sides by -9

[tex]-9x/-9=-59/-9[/tex]

[tex]x=59/9[/tex]
