Solve the system 2x + 2y = −6 and 3x − 2y = 11 by using graph paper or graphing technology. What is the solution to the system?

Respuesta :

yadvi3
In equation 1, When x = 0, y = -3 ( 0, -3) And when y = 0, x = -3....( 3,0) In equation 2, when x = 1, y = -4(1,-4) and when y = 2, x = 5....(5,2) You have to plot the points on graph paper and the solutions are where the two lines intersect. You can use any points for x and y.

we have that

the system

[tex] 2x+2y=-6 [/tex]

and

[tex] 3x-2y=11 [/tex]

we know that the solution of the system is the intersection of both graphs

so

using a graph tool

see the attached figure

the solution is the point [tex] (1,-4) [/tex]

therefore

the answer is

the solution to the system is the point [tex] (1,-4) [/tex]
