When you divide two fractions, you actually just flip one over (it's reciprocal) and multiply them.
[tex] \frac{3}{4} [/tex] ÷ [tex] \frac{1}{8} [/tex] Use the recriprocal of [tex] \frac{1}{8} [/tex]
[tex] \frac{3}{4} [/tex] ÷ [tex] \frac{8}{1} [/tex] Multiply (3 x 8) and (4 x 1)
[tex] \frac{24}{4} [/tex] Divide
6
[tex] \frac{3}{4} [/tex] ÷ [tex] \frac{1}{8} [/tex] = 6
