the lenth of the rectanngle is 3 meters more than the width. The perimeter is 26 meters. What are the dimensions of the rectangle?

The dimensions of the rectangle are L = 8m and W = 5m. 8m+8m=16m, 5m+5m=10m + 16m = 26m.

P = 2L + 2w = 26m
0r L + w = 13m

L = (w+3)
(w+3) + w = 13m
2w = 10m
w = 5m and L = 8m
the dimensions of the rectangle are 5m by 8m
