Pretend you are a Native American teenager writing in your journal. You have just listened to your parents and grandparents discuss the history of your family and events that took place during the settlers migration west. Describe your feelings regarding these events.

The FIRST settlers were horrible people. They would killed and steal from the natives, had a religion war with them, and then gave them smallpox! Nothing good came out of it for the natives. Some books would sugar-coat it and tell you otherwise but that is NOT the case. I would feel disgusted, in my opinion. I hope this helped
