Hemophilia is an X-linked recessive condition in which blood does not clot properly. Queen Victoria of England had one allele for hemophilia. Most of her male descendants had the disorder, but few females had it.
The males would be at a greater risk because males have an one X sex chromosome but also one Y so even if they have one allele they have it but females have two so it is more likely for females to be carriers but not have the disease itself. EXAMPLE-
Males X^Y- they have it X Y they don’t Females X~X^ they carry it but don’t have it Females X~X~ they have it also just XX^ can be possible or XX but it would be harder to get a completely clean X chromosomes but is possible
