I agree that different opportunities to commit a crime will impact if the crime is committed of not. For instance, if a criminal is in a bad neighborhood at night and they come across idolized car, they are highly likely to steal it. Along with this example, I believe what time of day and how populated an area is will affect the individuals choices.
