These fuels are burned in the factory, and large amounts of carbon dioxide are released into the atmosphere. There are many different colored dots in that atmosphere. There is water vapor, infrared radiation, and solar radiation. The infrared and solar radiation is coming from the sun. In most cases, this radiation would eventually radiate out back to space, but in this case the carbon dioxide is filling the air and acting as a blanket, keeping a lot of it in so that the atmosphere is heating up. This is called the Greenhouse Effect. You also see that carbon dioxide absorbs infrared radiation and re emits it.
