1Matthias and his older brother Xavier did almost everything together since they were young. Only two years separated the siblings; therefore, they were often placed on the same athletic teams and sometimes in the same classrooms. Matthias revered his older brother and adored having someone with whom to collaborate on school projects; however, Matthias sometimes felt stifled by Xavier’s accomplishments. Xavier excelled at almost everything he attempted—and he attempted plenty.
