1) The fog in the mirror is caused by the water in the air, in form of vapor, that touches the cold surface of the mirror and changes to a liquid state, so the condensation is what causes it.
2) As i already explained, the water in the air is the hot one and the surface of the mirror is the cold one.
3) The water in the air is hotter than the surface of the mirror, so the water gives energy to the mirror as it cools down and changes of phase. Then the water vapor is losing energy.
4) If you want the fogginess to disappear, you need to increase the temperature of the mirror (in this way the vapor of water does not condensate when it touches the mirror)
