Just draw a simple picture of a house or a dog or a person or a building where you have only 3 rectangles and 1 circle, 6 rectangles and 2 circles, 9 and 3, etc. Do this three times and you should be set.
Let
x--------> the number of rectangles in the drawing
y--------> the number of circles in the drawing
r--------> ratio of rectangles to circles
we know that
[tex] r= \frac{x}{y} [/tex]
[tex] r= \frac{3}{1} [/tex]
Drawing N 1
see the attached figure N 1
we have
the number of rectangles is equal to [tex] 3 [/tex]
[tex] x=3 [/tex]
the number of circles is equal to [tex] 1 [/tex]
[tex] y=1 [/tex]
Find the ratio
[tex] r= \frac{3}{1} [/tex]
Drawing N 2
see the attached figure N 2
we have
the number of rectangles is equal to [tex] 6 [/tex]
[tex] x=6 [/tex]
the number of circles is equal to [tex] 2 [/tex]
[tex] y=2 [/tex]
Find the ratio
[tex] r= \frac{6}{2}=\frac{3}{1} [/tex]
Drawing N 3
see the attached figure N 3
we have
the number of rectangles is equal to [tex] 9 [/tex]
[tex] x=9 [/tex]
the number of circles is equal to [tex] 3 [/tex]
[tex] y=3 [/tex]
Find the ratio
[tex] r= \frac{9}{3}=\frac{3}{1} [/tex]
