Answer:
I prefer the city because I am used to it. I like that all the stores, malls, libraries etc.. that I need are close to my home. For example, I like that I can choose between 3 libraries that are within walking distance. Same thing with the 3 franchise pizza restaurants and 4 malls. In rural areas, this would not be the case, more like one or maybe two choices.
*Walking distance is 40 minutes or less
Explanation:
Here are a few pros and cons for each:
Country - pros:
*Closer to national heritage (because the area is less assimilated by multinational corporations and immigrants) and greater sense of community (because there is a lower population, you could know everyone in the area)
*Lower population density, often less of a tourist destination (thus widespread viruses are less likely to reach the area, if no one brings the illness there)
*Lower housing prices (lower demand of housing due to decreasing population)
Country - cons:
*May lack or lag in essential services (water sources and pipes may be older)
*Fewer options for services (there may only be one local school, one local library etc...)
*Distance from services (for very specific healthcare treatments, you may have to go into the city for it to be available)
City - pros:
*Convenience in daily life (mostly everything you need is closeby)
*More variety and opportunity (there are more businesses in the city, so more places to get a job or buy from)
City - cons:
*Higher cost of living (and housing prices, because more people move to the city, thus increasing the demand)
*Noise pollution (could be 24/7 where there are sounds of traffic outside your home)
