There are 3 kinds of the black plague: bubonic, septicemic and pneumonic.Signs and symptoms vary depending on the type of plague. Bubonic plague causes infection in the lymph nodes, or buboes. Septicemic plague causes skin and other tissues to turn black and die, especially on fingers, toes, and the nose. And pneumonic is infection in the lungs.
