During the march, state troopers began beating many of the participants, killing 13 and inflicting serious, even deadly, wounds as one civilian died from his injuries later on. This startling action connects to the present, and is yet another piece of evidence to prove that history repeats itself. In this case, it's police brutality and peaceful protests ending violently. Many things happened during the Civil Rights Movement, however, these are just two that stood out the most.
