Simple....

we take two points on this line...in this case..

(2,1) and (4,3)

Using: [tex] \frac{ y_{1- y_{2}} }{ x_{1}- x_{2}} [/tex]

[tex] \frac{1-3}{2-4} = \frac{-2}{-2}=1[/tex]

Thus, your answer.

We can use the points (2, 1) and (4, 3) to solve.

Slope formula: y2-y1/x2-x1

= 3-1/4-2

= 2/2

= 1
