yes it is.  1.25 multiplied by 2.5 is found the same as 2x3 is

Sure.  Decimals are 'regular numbers' too.

To multiply decimals, you don't even have to think about the decimal point
while you're multiplying.  The only thing that's different is that when you're
finished multiplying, you have to decide where to put the decimal point in
the answer.  I'm sure you'll learn that in school very soon.
