Answer:2 assimilation and accommodation
Explanation:According to Piaget there are two processes which are involved in cognitive development: assimilation and accommodation. Cognitive growth results from these two processes.
Assimilation occurs when a child adjust or changes new information so that it can fit into their preexisting Information. The new information has to fit with what we already know for example Ruth, an infant, sucked everything that touched her lips and also sucked nearby objects. Ruth is doing this because she is bottlefed or beast feeding and she is used to sucking, so anything else she sees fit into what she already know that you suck on things.
Accomodation on the other side occurs when one adjust what they already know so that the new information can go well with what they already know , so instead of adjustinv the new information one adjust what they already know. For example A few months later she learned that certain objects such as her mother's breasts or a milk bottle can be sucked but other objects such as spoon, her toys, or her blanket cannot be sucked. She has adjusted what she already knows so that the new information can fit in perfectly.
