Respuesta :
Because even if we now have more equality and rights as women did in the 50’s-60’s, women continue to not get paid as much as men. A woman who has made A’s her whole life gets paid the same amounts of money a man does who made C’s his whole life. Yes, women are now allowed to become higher occupations, but we continue to not get enough credit or recognition for those occupations.
We still have a long way to go in terms of gender equality worldwide because there are still several nations where women are discriminated against.
Why is gender inequality still prevalent?
Even though there have been great strides towards gender equality in the developed world, this has not been the same for many developing nations where women are still treated as second class citizens.
This means that there are hundreds of millions of women being denied equal rights and until things change for them, we cannot claim to have achieved gender equality.
