Explain ONE specific way in which imperialism affected the development of the domestic economies of imperial states.

Respuesta :

Answer: The exploitation of natural and mineral resources.

Explanation:

It is common knowledge that the imperialist powers exploited the conquered lands to the extreme. Everything that could make a profit was used. The hair folks who worked those hard jobs were forced to work for free or for food. So the colonial powers had cheap labor, and they got the raw materials for free. In this way, they could satisfy the domestic market and sell the surplus and gain enormous financial benefits.

Old imperialism focused mainly on systems of trade while new imperialism took bolder steps to overtaking nations.

One specific way that the imperialists developed their economies is that; "they used looted materials from nations they conquered to develop their economies."

Some of the activities of the imperialists were that;-

  • They exploited the nations they conquered by obtaining raw materials very cheaply.
  • They produced large amount of goods and services thereby making more profit from the raw materials they stole.

Now, with these raw materials, the imperialists were able to use them to develop their economies through industrialization as a result of the huge amount of goods and services.
