Answer:
The answer is a. Party Plan System.
Explanation:
The Party Plan System is a marketing process whereby a sales representative of an organization invites people to a social event (usually in the home of the sales representative), where a product or products will be demonstrated to the guests so that they can buy, and the sales representative earns a commission on purchases made.
This system of marketing has been criticized for pressurizing people into buying what they do not want .
The advantages of Party Plan System include:
-Selling to multiple people at once.
-Low overhead costs, as an office space is not required for this operation.
-Sales representatives can be hired through this process.
Answer:
A) party plan system
Explanation:
I remember my mother's Tupperware meetings with several old ladies who were fascinated by a plastic container that kept things fresh and prevented different food odors from mixing. Well my mom actually didn't sell Tupperware, my cousin sold them, but she used our house as a showroom and my mom allowed it.
I thought this didn't exist anymore, probably I need to hang out more and meet more friends, or more into a small town or a suburb.
Party plans were basically organized by sales women who received several guests (generally other women) and invited them to have some tea or coffee and then they talked about how great the products were. I also remember that after they had finished talking about the wonders of Tupperware (and Avon also), the host started writing the names of the guests in a notebook and the amount of products that they were going to purchase.
This was different than catalog sales because catalogs were passed from one house to another, while these product parties required people actually going to someone else's house.
