Answer:
A drawn organizational chart for a private high school is attached
Explanation:
At the highest level, we have the school principal. There is usually one person at this level. He/she is responsible for overseeing the affairs of the school. They receive information directly from the vice principals.
At the next level (a step down), we have the vice principals. They are usually two people at this level i.e the V.P Administrative and the V.P Academics.
The V.P Administrative is responsible for overseeing the activities of the school that are not academically related, but are necessary for the smooth running of the high school. This can include: Guidance and counselling of students, preparation and circulation of school newsletters, organization of excursions. etc.
The V.P Academics oversees members of staff that work on teaching curriculum based content to the students. This is where all subject teachers fall under.
The next level contains the subordinates to both the V.P Admin and the Subject teachers. They include secretaries, librarians, the school facilities manager, the guidance Councillor, all subject teachers such as English, History, Mathematics, Computer technology, etc.
The number of people responding to the two Vice Principals at this level is 21.
SPANS OF CONTROL
The span of control at the lowest level is narrower compared to the higher level. People at lower levels of the organizational chart have control over a limited range of activities, which is limited to their primary function.
Individuals at higher levels of the organizational structure control a lot more. this is because they have more people under them and are responsible for the quality performance of the individuals below them
