From the following, please identify the 2 statements that are true as well as the 2 statements that are false.Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, proclaiming himself "a true democrat," argues Western democracies misinterprets Russia's authoritarianism and criticizes the West for its belief that their ideas of democracy are the ultimate truth

Explanation:

There are clearly logical fallacies in Putin's statement, which are contradicting its self. So we can first find out the 2 fallacies in the statement:

1- While calling himself a "true democrat", Putin states that Russia is an Authoritarian state. These two terms are opposite of each other and in turn contradicting each other. What he could have said that Russia is also a democracy however the model is different from that of Western Democracy. This is a clear logical fallacy by Putin.

2- A second clear fallacy is when he call out the West for claiming that the ideas of democracy are the ultimate truth. He is infact invalidating himself again by first calling himself "a true democrat" and them declaring that ideas of democracy are not true.

Two true statements in the given passage are:

1- First, his claim of himself being a true democrat is supported by his claim that West's idea of true democracies are not right. He is again invalidating the West's interpretation to validate his own claim.

2- The last statement, calling out to west for misinterpreting the Russian model of governance is also supported by the last statement, clearly stating that the Russians and the West have two different interpretation of people led governance system, thus the two statements are supporting each other.
