Chickens with shortened wings and legs are called, creepers. When creepers are mated to normal birds, they produce creepers and normal progeny with equal frequency. When creepers are mated to creepers, they produce two creepers to one normal progeny. What mode of inheritance can explain these results?

Answer:

assuming the

1.Cc represent creepers ( since  creepers never breed true this is the likey representation,)

2. nn  represents normal.

If  these are crossed the F1 progeny are;

Cn and Cn= creeper

nc and nc = normal  50/50 % ratio.

However. if the two creepers(Cn and Cn )  from above are self-crossed in    the F2  to give  two creepers and a normal progeny .The creeper traits is expected to be   dominant; while the recessive to be lethal, The normal birds nn, is expected to be homozygous recessive for the trait .
