Woodrow did not campaign or gather enough support from the people either. Also, he had a stroke during this time which caused a plethora of problems and ensured his goals to plummet. However, before his stroke, Wilson publicized his "Fourteen Points" that described his ideas for ending hostility towards the Central Powers. Germany increased their aggression all the more instead of trying to achieve peace, but ten months later, they conceded. These fourteen points contained geological issues to be resolved later on and general ideology to maintain peace. These points also contained liberalism that would be achieved through morality and righteousness. He called it "peace without victory". In fact, his central reason for going to war was to establish peace! Nobody really supported or believed in his ideas, so that is why his goals for postwar peace failed.
