Protective tariffs, black codes, Jim crow laws, segregation, slavery legitimized, Lincoln Douglass debates which revolved around the abolition of slavery but Douglas took the other way around and hence the heated up argumentative debates became an eye catcher and eye opener for the rise of civil war.
