If you have two bills in one pocket, one is a 10 dollar bill and the other is a 20 dollar bill, there are no possible values in between, you either have ten or twenty, there is not possible, in this example, to count 15 dollars.

Then the variable "Y: Type number of channels available." is quantitative discrete, it counts the number of channels and between each channel there is nothing.
