Given the system that exists in administration of justice in the United States, I believe that law system in the country is going in the right path. Even though it has its details, like many other systems in this world, I think America is doing very well by handling their laws and putting criminals in jail.

About the biblical reference on this question, I think that the judicial process has its god related principles. An example could be God’s first law, “And the Lord God commanded the man, ‘You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.’” (Genesis 2:16-17 NIV) Adam was aware of the law’s content, but still he violated it, and because of that he was charged its violation, went to trial, ans was finally sentenced to death.
