The Moss family just had a new baby who has Down’s syndrome. The family is overwhelmed emotionally and with medical expenses. Who in your community might be able to help the Moss family?

Respuesta :

Answer: The Psychologist and the Social Health Worker

Explanation: The family is overwhelmed emotionally and the role of a Clinical Psychologist comes into play. A Clinical Psychologist will empathize with them. Also a Clinical psychologist will advise them to join a support group which is anchored by a Psychologist.

This support group would comprise families of babies or children that also have down syndrome or any other developmental disorder. The families usually discuss various things ranging from their fears and how they were able to overcome, how to handle and care for such babies and also encourage one another in kind words and also in cash (money) for families that have run out of such.

Also Social Health Workers could be of help as they liase with the government, non governmental organisations or well meaning individuals in the society to off-set bills of patients
