Yan, a middle-aged woman who immigrated to the U.S. from China, and Tracy, a young white woman in her mid-twenties, share an office at a university, where they work together as research assistants. Tracy seems to keep her distance from Yan (and vice versa) outside of work-related tasks because they appear to have vastly different world views. Their boss should

There is global acknowledgment of multiculturalism in the organizations which integrate people from different cultural, social, religious and ethnic background. Organizations supporting multiculturalism are not just praised for their tolerant attitude but it would benefit the company by providing critical opportunities for improvement and growth. In the above case, the distance between the two employees is because of their cultural and ethnic difference and the employer must try to make them appreciate each other viewpoints for the better growth of them and the organization.
