Saudi Arabia’s legislature is called as Consultative Assembly
Explanation:
Due to the government’s status as absolute monarchy, the legislature is known as Consultative Assembly (Majlis ash-Shura) which can propose laws but cannot perform the function of primary legislation.
The Consultative Assembly consists of 150 members of which 30 are women since 2013, all of whom are appointed by the King.
The assembly have power to 'interpret laws' and 'examine annual reports' referred by state ministers and agencies.
It can also review country’s annual budget, and can call in 'ministers' for questioning if necessary.
