Getting both x and y on the same side we have

-3x - 2y = 2

We don't have any fractions in there so we're good as far as that goes.  Some math books do not like to lead with negatives, so if we multiply the whole equation through by a -1, we get

3x + 2y = -2

which is probably the more "acceptable" answer.
