400 * (1/4) = 100
She puts 100$ in her bank
She has $300 in her pocket and decide to spend 1/3 of her cash in clothes
300 * 1/3 is 100
So she spends 100 in clothes and therefore have 200$ remaining.
(Although you could argue she have 300 because the cash she put in bank is still hers)
