Pls help me to get the answer

During the revolutionary war, the Patriots and the British had on thing in common.
Both had a "pressing" need to control the sea. They had to get supplies to their armies. They had move soldiers from place to place.

Question: what might make going to the store pressing? (Pls explain)

Respuesta :

During wars, supplies are more needed for the soldiers. In that period of time, most foods, clothes, and other goods were shipped from place to place through ships. So if they were able to control the seas, they would get the supplies and goods needed for their soldiers easily and could prevent any goods or food to enemy soldiers.
