First of all, we solve the parenthesis:

[tex]3(61-1)>18-36 \iff 3\cdot 60>18-36[/tex]

Perform the operations on both sides:

[tex]180>-18[/tex]

This is true, because 180 is indeed greater than -18 (every positive number is greater than any negative number)
