The Marshall plan was a program of the U.S. aid to Europe following world war 2 to help those nations recover from the extensive damage to their cities, industries, and transportation.  
The Marshal Plan was named after Secretary of State George Marshall and it was a plan to help rebuild the Europe after the devastation of the World War II.


The main idea and goal of the Marshall Plan was to provide financial help to the war-thorn states of Europe after the end of the World War II. By doing this the US hoped to remove trade barriers and make Europe more prosperous, but most importantly they wanted to stop the spread of Communism and the Soviet influence.
