#3. Abilitionsts responded to the slaves codes by running away or even protesting which led to more policies like the Compromise of 1850.

#4. Slaves codes changed whenevr slaves became more resistance. I know slave codes were close to ending at the end of slavery which when the 13th Amendment came out. I would check the date for that one.

#5. I believe when the Freeport Doctrine came out that how they changed the slave codes. Sorry I wasn't very sure about #4 and #5
