Ok so this is a polynomial we are solving for so in this example we will have to set it up in box method and when I say that I mean 2x+7 on top and on the side or left hand side will be 3x-5 so lets solve so 2x times 3x is 6x^2 then on the right hand side we know 7 times 3x is 21x. Let's move on to the box on the bottom so now lets multiply 2x times -5 which is -10x then the last box we will have to multiply 7 times -5 is -35. So now we have to combine like terms which means combining the x's and the constants . So we leave 6x^2 alone and add -10x + 21x so since they have different signs we subtract which would result in 11x . Our final answer should be 6x^2+ 11x-35.
