Is there a relationship between the POROSITY results and PERCOLATION rates of our
soil?

Respuesta :

Answer:

The porosity of the soil is directly proportional to its rate of percolation.

Explanation:

The number and amount of pores present in the soil structure is referred to as porosity of the soil. The greater the porosity of the soil, higher will be the rate of percolation through it. Soil with higher porosity allows for increased rates of  percolation of water and necessary nutrients needed for grown of plants. To maintain a good fertile soil, farmers adopt crop rotation because it allows for water and nutrient to percolate and makes the soil fertile for next season of crops.
