A truck is moving around a circular curve at a uniform velocity of 13 m/s. If the centripetal force on the truck is 3,300 N and the mass of a the truck is 1,600 kg what's the radius of the curve.
The radius of the curve is 81.93 metres. We can work this out by
considering the centripetal force (Fc) = mass x centripetal
acceleration. Fc = m x u (squared) R = mu (squared) over Fc = 1600 x (13 squared) over 3300 R = 81.93 metres
