Need to find zeros of x squared +14x +48 that means needs to find solution of following quadratic equation
[tex]x^{2}+14 x+48=0[/tex]
On splitting the middle term so that summation of two terms comes 14x and product of two terms be [tex]48x^2[/tex] , we get
[tex]\begin{array}{l}{x^{2}+8 x+6 x+48=0} \\\\ {=>x(x+8)+6(x+8)=0} \\\\ {=>(x+6)(x+8)=0}\end{array}[/tex]
So either x+6 = 0 or x + 8 = 0
when x+6 = 0, x = -6
when x+8 = 0, x = -8
Hence required zeros of [tex]x^2[/tex] + 14x + 48 are -6 and -8.
