PLEASE HELP I'LL MARK THE BEST ANSWER BRAINLIEST!!!!!!
The equation y = 10x describes the amount of money Sandra earns, where x is the number of hours she works and y is the amount of money she earns.
The table shows the amount of money Susan earns for different numbers of hours worked.
Susans earnings are shown in the picture below
(a) How much money does Sandra earn per hour? Show your work.
(b) Who earns more per hour? Justify your answer.
i just want to check my answers and see if they're correct
(a) Sandra earns 10 dollars an hour. I know this because the equation tells us that.
The amount of money she earns = 10 times the number of hours she works.
We need to find the amount of money she earns so to find that we’ll plug the
number 1 into the x and we’ll multiply it. You’ll get 10 so the amount of money Sandra
earns for every hour is 10 dollars.
(B) Sandra earns more than Susan. You can see this if you compare the unit rates. To
find Susan’s unit rate you have to divide the “money earned” by the “time”.
32 / 4 = 8 | 40 / 5 = 8 | 64 / 8 = 8 | 80 / 10 = 8
So you can see that Susan’s unit rate is: 8. Sandra’s unit rate is: 10
So we can conclude that Sandra gets payed more than Susan.
