Why is language such an important part of people’s cultures?

Language is inherent in cultural expression. It has an important social function as a means of communicating values, beliefs and customs, and fosters feelings of group identity and solidarity. It is the means of conveying and preserving culture and its traditions and shared values.

It is important because people have to communicate with one another in some way shape or form. Without any communication the world would be a lot different. Plus if we didn’t understand each other then getting things done would be very complicated
